We are seeking a reliable and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our team based in Alexandra Hills in the Redlands region. This role supports participants across our Learning and Lifestyle program and mobile community supports, including 1:1 community and in-home supports. With a new client onboarding requiring Mobile/COMAC supports, available hours have increased. The Alexandra Hills site is supported by a strong, experienced team, creating a collaborative and supportive workplace.

Key duties:
• Supporting residents to achieve their NDIS goals and build independence in daily living skills
• Providing personal care and physical support in line with individual support plans
• Delivering 1:1 supports in the community, including assistance with independent shopping and appointments
• Supporting participants in their home with shopping and tasks
• Facilitating group supports within the Learning & Lifestyle hub
• Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
• Transporting clients as required
• Working collaboratively within a team and independently when required
• Maintaining clear and professional communication with colleagues and leaders
• Using technology, apps and digital systems to record progress and documentation
What you can bring to the team:
• A positive, proactive and respectful approach
• Experience supporting people with disability
• Experience providing personal care and working with clients with PBSPs
• Confidence supporting a range of clients through both 1:1 and group supports
• Willingness to provide mobile supports using your own vehicle
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work across other sites if required
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Confidence using technology and digital systems
We also require:
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) - advantageous but not essential
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
• Current or willingness to obtain:
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- First Aid & CPR
- National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work)
- Open Driver's Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle for community supports
